Paul Begbie

Paul Begbie is an experienced Investigator, Trainer, and Safety Professional with more than 25 years of experience across law enforcement, workplace health and safety, risk management, and operational training. As a Certified ICAM Lead Investigator, he brings extensive expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and the development of safer, more effective workplace systems.

His background includes extensive leadership experience with NSW Police, where he managed operational teams and worked across police aviation and specialist operational training environments.

Paul holds an Advanced Diploma of Government Investigations, a Diploma of Workplace Health and Safety, a Graduate Diploma of Education, a Bachelor of Arts, and ICAM Lead Investigator certification.

Over his career, he has developed skills and expertise in:

• Leading incident investigations and analysing contributing factors
• Facilitating risk assessments and WHS audits
• Developing risk assessment processes for high-risk weapons and tactical training activities
• Strengthening governance, compliance, and accountability frameworks
• Delivering safety and training programs and facilitating structured reviews and debriefs
